This is just before NACAT. ACDC is working on a plan to get you to PA after class, so you can attend both. Map below is a 7 hour drive to NACAT.
After teaching hybrid technology in classrooms for years it is time to let everyone know what I have learned in the last 8 years as a hybrid owner, technician, writer, trainer, and consumer / hybrid advocate. This class is modeled after "Up Your Voltage!" that has evolved over the past two years.
The short version: The hybrid cars pictured here (and more, Ford, Honda and Toyota brands) are yours for 4 days. Get yourself to Massachusetts and spend 4 days studying, driving, testing, scanning, servicing, and taking these hybrids apart. All I ask is that they run when you leave.
Cost: $2,199.00 ($2,299.00 with private room) Spouse Packages available at a reasonable cost
Everything included except airfare. 4 techs per car with your own private tech / teacher. I will be there of course helping everyone. A prior ACDC hybrid class is helpful but not required. Craig reserves the right to limit this class to those that have a sufficient level of hybrid automotive knowledge.
Location: WAYSIDE Automotive Seekonk, Mass (fly into Rhode Island)
Included:
A CD of the entire presentation, all classes, meals, hotel (4 nights at a Hotel - two to a room*), transportation to and from the airport, training materials, FREE 1000 volt rubber gloves to take home, use of shop equipment, use of hybrid cars, an ACDC Master Hybrid Qualification (if you pass the written test), and ACDC hospitality.
The test at UYT will be tougher than the one for Hybrid tech. At UVT you will be designated a Master if you pass, but another pre test will be a prerequisite. No extra for this service.
You will receive an "ACDC Master Hybrid Technician" certificate upon completion and test of this 4-day class.
Thursday: 6—7PM dinner, Orientation 7—9:00 PM
Drive, Fly, Bus, Pedal, Motorcycle your way to New England. Get picked up by the ACDC staff if you fly into R.I. ACDC recommends Southwest Airlines. Settle down at the Hotel (everyone is staying there). A social hour, free drinks, and dinner is provided. Get a good nights sleep and get ready for training that is first rate, fun, and exciting. We will go where few have gone before!
Friday: 8AM—6PM
Get up early, eat hearty and off we go to the classroom. Class is 8—6 with lunch and dinner catered so we can get down to business. Hybrids will be available to drive during class. Craig Van Batenburg will lead the class. The class is an advanced class with case studies, but we will go over anything that is required by any student. A scan tool shoot out takes place right after lunch so bring your scan tools.
An evening with Deb and Craig Van Batenburg later that evening at the hotel. This is a great time to get to know everyone.
Saturday: 8AM—6PM
After breakfast we are off to the site. You will spend the next two days at Wayside Garage. The shop will allow you access to lifts, tools, equipment, scanners, (this is a great well equipped shop) and give you time to carefully remove the HV battery packs, inverters, HV cables, DC-DC converters, and anything else that interests you. We will test them as we go. Groups of 4 techs will each have a car to learn on. There will be times when we will all stop and each group will present a "teachable moment". Lunch and Dinner will be catered by one of our best local caterers.
Sunday: 9AM—5PM
After breakfast we will be back at the site for day # 3. The hybrid cars from the day before will be rotated to another team of four. More hands on, HV circuits opened up, battery packs tested. Lunch again, more work, and hopefully all the ACDC Hybrid cars are back together and running by 5 pm.
That evening we are off to a quaint New England town for a New England feast. Relax while eating some of the best food around.
Monday: 8AM—12PM
We will stay at the hotel where the meeting room is. We hook up more scanners if you want to, more classroom and a good wrap up session. A group photo, and at noon ACDC will get you back to the airport. Your mind will now be ready for any hybrid problem that comes your way and all in just 4 days. 
Optional before class:
Relax and enjoy ACDC country on your own. Borrow an ACDC Hybrid and see the country side. You are 1 hour from Boston, Cape Cod, 2 hours to NH, ME. Less than 30 minutes from the Atlantic ocean. (your only addition cost is more hotel nights and some food)
ACDC needs the cars back Thursday pm for class. This is on a "first come, first serve" basis so call ahead.
