5 day detailed agenda for Up Your Voltage!

(for those of you that need to know ahead of time what to expect)

 

Wednesday Night .. Reception at the Hotel   ...Drinks and snacks

Thursday ...Day 1    8am to 5:30pm

 

  1. Breakfast at Hotel
  2. Introductions and orientation
  3. Electrical test
  4. Road test ACDC hybrid fleet with scan tools
  5. Class resumes with all attendees
  6. Lunch
  7. Battery Packs, Inverters, DC-DC converters explained
  8. Two types of CVTs explained
  9. 3 basic hybrid designs explained
  10. Other sub systems explained; electric power steering, brake-by-wire, A/C
  11. Dinner@ 5:30pm
  12. Class continues after dinner if you failed the electrical test
  13. 2 hour electrical class for those that need it

 

 

Friday ...Day 2       8am to 5:30pm

 

  1. Breakfast at Hotel
  2. More Classroom training from the day before.
  3. Honda specific info
  4. Toyota, Lexus specific info
  5. Lunch
  6. Nissan Specific Info
  7. Ford Specific info
  8. GM Specific info
  9. Mercedes
  10. Dinner @ 5:30
  11. After Dinner Tech Tips

 

Saturday ...Day 3      8am to 8pm

 

  1. Breakfast at Hotel
  2. Drive Hybrids to Wayside Automotive (8 miles away)
  3. 4 Teams of 4 each spend the day rotating through 4 work stations
  4. Station one is Craig and the Honda Hybrid System
  5. Station two is Jeff with components  (lots of them)
  6. Station three is Al and the Gen I and II Priuses
  7. Station four is Steve and the Ford Escape
  8. Other self study stations set up are GM
  9. Lunch and Dinner catered
  10. Vans will shuttle you back to the hotel late at night

 

 

Sunday ... Day 4   8:30 am to 6pm

 

  1. Breakfast at a local diner (optional) or hotel of you want to sleep in
  2. Vans bring you back to Wayside Automotive
  3. All Hybrids bugged and students trouble shoot them until 11am if it takes that long
  4. Lunch
  5. The afternoon is spent testing, scoping, and creating better tests to use in the service bays
  6. Teams will present a lesson on Monday am
  7. Back to the hotel in the hybrids before 7pm
  8. 8pm is dinner at a great local restaurant

 

 

 

Monday ... Day 5  8:00 am to noon

 

  1. Breakfast at the Hotel
  2. Classroom resumes
  3. Team reports / lessons
  4. Rap up with more OEM specific info
  5. Electric car class
  6. Graduation at noon
  7. Box lunches and rides to the airport

 

 

Two weeks later you will receive in the mail

 

  1. Color Certificates
  2. Team Photos
  3. Evaluations
