ACDC's book "Understanding Hybrid Vehicle Service and Technology" is a best seller. It has over 210 pages of hybrid info that will help you safely get started in hybrid service. Over 100 pictures and diagrams, and easy to understand text. A hybrid newsletter is delivered every 12-16 weeks via E mail after you buy the book so you stay up to date.

Did you know that ACDC owns six hybrids for research and class development? Two 2000 Insights, 2001 Prius, 2003 Civic Hybrid CVT, 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid , and 2004 Prius. Our company gasoline bills are very low.

Hi Craig,
I received the dvd and book on Monday. That was some pretty quick service. Thanks!
Hey, I also procurred a 2003 Insight today with only 31k miles on it.
Drove it back from Topeka Kansas which is about 150 miles or so from home. Got an average of 67.9 mpg. Absolutely loving the car. Have had a few customers and friends looking at it. Of course, the first question is "Do you have to plug it in at night"? lol
The hybrid class at Vision was fantastic. Thanks for teaching us. We need more dedicated instructors in the automotive field.
thanks again,

Craig,
I really enjoyed our talks at the MACS convention. I have read most
of your book on Hybrid Vehicle Service and have found it very
informative. Your first hand experience shows through almost every page
and the service tips are valuable to me because I live 60+ mi from my
dealer and I don't let them work on my vehicles anyway. I may be calling
with some tech questions if I have a thorny problem, generally the
dealer I work with is very helpful but I suspect he hasn't had many
Insights' to deal with.
My Insight got 58+ mpg on the whole trip. I was pleased because I made
no effort to conserve fuel. I drove it more like a sports car using the
gears when I wanted to pass, etc. I was supprised by the performance of
the Insight and I realize that this is a glimpse of the future. Too bad
Ford didn't continue the technology when they used a magnets in the
flywheel area to provide the ignition system with electricity.
Pete Peterson
Craig's Note: Pete was a UN consultant for 5 years and taught mobile AC to mechanics in 15 developing countries, his objective was to reduce the depletion of the ozone layer. He must have been successful because the program has been stopped and last year the ozone hole over Antarctica was smaller. Environmentally, Pete has gone from a drag racer and hot rodder, to a member of the Sierra club, drives a hybrid and heats his house with geo thermal. My kind of man!
